These terms govern the use of tardigrado.ai and of all the Tardigrado suite’s tools. By using the service you accept them. The provider is Tardigrado Srl, VAT IT02041110475, Piazza XX Settembre 13, 51017 Pescia (PT), Italy, email info@tardigrado.it.
Each tool has its own card at the end of these terms (section 15). The rules on the card apply in addition to the general ones; if they conflict, the card for that tool prevails. The Italian version of these terms is the binding one; this English version is provided for convenience.
1. Account
To use the paid tools you create an account with an email address and password, or with Google. The account is created at registration, and you confirm it with the link we email you. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the authorisation of whoever represents you. You are responsible for what happens with your account: keep your password safe and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.
2. Workspaces
Every account has a personal workspace. You can create shared workspaces and invite other people with one of these roles:
- Owner: pays for the workspace subscription, manages subscriptions, can delete the workspace;
- Admin: invites and removes members;
- Member: works on the workspace’s projects, without seeing payments.
A subscription belongs to the workspace, not to the person: a member of a workspace with an active subscription does not need to pay for their own.
3. Free trials
Each tool states on its card whether it offers a free trial and for how long. A trial requires no credit card, is available once per person, and ends if you do not start a subscription. We may limit or revoke a trial in case of abuse.
4. Prices and payments
- Prices are shown before payment, VAT included (currently 22%). Payment is made through Stripe, which collects on our behalf.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of the chosen period (monthly or annual), unless you cancel.
- If a payment fails, the subscription is cancelled and the workspace moves to the expiry rules of the tool.
- Promotional codes and discounts have the conditions shown when the promotion is offered. We will email you before a time-limited discount ends.
5. Withdrawal for consumers
If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. For digital services, the right of withdrawal is lost only if the service has started at once with your express consent. For this reason, at checkout we ask you to choose explicitly whether you want the service to start immediately, and to confirm that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once it has started. If you do not confirm, the service does not start before the 14 days have passed.
If you withdraw after the service has started at your request, you pay only for the part of the period already used, as the law provides. To withdraw, write to info@tardigrado.it.
6. Cancellation
Cancelling stops renewals, and you can do it at any time from the subscription portal. Access stays active until the end of the period already paid. Cancelling does not entitle you to a refund for the period already paid: for the right of withdrawal see section 5.
Changing plan: moving to a more expensive plan charges the difference immediately; moving to a cheaper plan, or from annual to monthly, takes effect at the end of the period.
7. Content
The content you create remains yours. You grant us only the permission to store, copy and display it as needed to provide the service (for example for saving, backup copies and the links you create). You declare that you have the rights to what you upload. We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence systems.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful activities, to infringe the rights of others, to spread malware, to try to compromise the service or access other people’s data, to collect data from the service automatically, or to resell access. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with a notice where possible.
9. Availability and backup copies
We do our best to keep the service available and your data safe, with automatic backup copies. We do not guarantee, however, that the service will be free of interruptions or errors. We recommend exporting important work regularly.
10. Changes
We may improve or change the service and its tools. If a change to these terms or to prices is unfavourable to you, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you may cancel at no cost before the change takes effect.
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time. First, the account’s subscriptions are cancelled, with no refund for the period already paid (without prejudice to the right of withdrawal in section 5). Workspaces where you are the only member are deleted together with their projects. You cannot delete your account if you are the only owner of a workspace with other members: first transfer ownership. What is kept after deletion is described in the privacy notice.
12. Liability
The service is provided as it is, within the limits of the law. Tardigrado is not liable for indirect damage, nor for data loss caused by your improper use. To the extent the law allows, Tardigrado’s total liability does not exceed what you paid in the previous 12 months. Rights that the law does not allow to be limited, such as consumer rights, are not affected.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, the law of your country of residence also applies where it is more favourable to you, and the competent court is the one where you live. In other cases the Court of Pistoia has jurisdiction.

15. Tool cards
Sumerian (paid)
- Free trial: 14 days, no card, once per person.
- Prices: €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year, VAT included (launch prices, which may change with notice under section 10).
- When the subscription or trial ends: the workspace becomes read-only. You can read and download screenplays only in Fountain format. You cannot create or edit projects, nor create read-only links; links already created stop working. Projects are not deleted: when you reactivate a subscription they become available again, except for deletion for inactivity as set out in the privacy notice.
- Read-only links (only with an active subscription): they show the screenplay as it was when you created the link, and do not allow it to be downloaded. The person who creates the link is responsible for who receives it. Links expire after at most 90 days, and you can revoke them at any time.
- Deleting a shared workspace: only the owner can do it, by typing the workspace name. Its projects are deleted for all members, and the subscription is cancelled at once, with no refund for the period already paid (without prejudice to the right of withdrawal in section 5).
- Trash: deleted projects remain recoverable for 30 days, then are permanently deleted.
- Usage limits: 1,000 active projects per workspace and 50 new projects per day per person.
CineCall (free)
- No subscription, no trial and no account: the tool is free.
- We do not keep the data you enter on our servers: it stays on your device (see the privacy notice).

Each new tool will have its own card at launch, with its own trial, prices and rules. Until then they are not on sale.
